False Eyelashes – what you need to know!
False eyelashes can change the look of your eyes dramatically! If you decide to give them a try, the first thing you’ll need to do is pick your style. Options vary from demi-lashes and wispy pairs to bright colors, metallics, and feathers!
You can purchase false eyelashes at drug stores, department stores, specialty makeup stores like Sephora, and online. In addition to the eyelashes, you will also need to buy a good quality eyelash glue or adhesive so you can apply the lashes and make them stick!
Gather your supplies:
You will need a set of false eyelashes and eyelash glue. Other helpful supplies are a pair of small scissors and Q-tips.
Apply your eye makeup first:
It is easier to apply your eye makeup first. Apply mascara, liner, and eyeshadow before you add your lashes. If you need to make touch-ups after the lashes are on, it will be much easier.
Fit the lashes to your eyes:
Gently remove the lashes from their packaging and set them on top of your natural lashes. If the false eyelashes are too big, you will need to trim the outer edge to fit the shape of your eye.
Apply the glue carefully:
Using your finger or a Q-Tip, apply glue directly to the inner rim of the false eyelashes. Be sure to get enough glue on the corners. Let the glue become slightly tacky before applying the false lashes to your own.
Adhere the false eyelashes to your own:
Grab both sides of the lashes and starting at the outer corner set the lashes down right onto your natural eyelashes and press until the lashes feel secure.
Fill in any spaces:
If you’ve got any space showing after you’ve applied the lashes – just touch up with a bit of eyeliner or dark shadow and you’ll be ready to go!
