Three Markets,
One Short Drive
Argyle itself keeps its rural, horse-country character on purpose. It’s a Tree City USA town built around wide lots and tree canopy. But that’s not a limitation for a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician; it’s a starting point. Denton’s college-town economy is minutes north. Flower Mound and Highland Village’s upscale suburban salon and spa market is minutes south. Training centrally at Ogle School Denton means graduating with access to all three, instead of betting on just one.
The drive itself is easy: about 8 miles up US-377, roughly 10 to 12 minutes – the same road Argyle residents already take for Denton Square, UNT events, or a night out.
Costs and
Financial Aid
Cost is a real factor, and it’s worth being upfront about it rather than glossing over it. Tuition varies by program and schedule, but financial aid may be available for those who qualify – federal aid through FAFSA, flexible payment plans, and scholarships are all part of the picture.

The Cosmetology Path
Cosmetology is the broadest license Texas offers in this field. It covers hair cutting, coloring, chemical services, styling and it’s the one most graduates use to build a client-facing career, whether that’s at a salon, as a platform artist, or eventually running their own business.Â
Texas requires 1,000 TDLR clock hours. At Ogle School Denton, the fast-track schedule (Monday–Friday, morning-afternoon or afternoon-evening) gets you there in about 7 months; part-time morning or evening runs closer to 13.
The Esthetics Path
Esthetics is the narrower, skincare-focused license, facials, waxing, chemical exfoliation and advanced treatment work. With Flower Mound and Highland Village’s growing medical-spa and skincare-studio scene close by, it’s a genuinely strong local option.Â
Texas requires 750 TDLR hours, which can be completed in about 5 months fast-track or 10 months part-time. Our campus sits in the same plaza as a SalonCentric professional beauty supply store, useful once you start building your own kit.

The Haltom City Beauty Market
Haltom City is a working, close-knit inner suburb of Fort Worth – one of the more accessible and affordable communities in the Mid-Cities corridor, with a steady residential base and everyday demand for local salons and personal-care services rather than a flashy retail core of its own. That’s a real advantage for a newly licensed cosmetologist or esthetician: the surrounding Mid-Cities region – Fort Worth, North Richland Hills, Watauga, Richland Hills, and the HEB corridor beyond it – adds up to one of the most densely populated suburban stretches in the Metroplex, with consistent demand across salon suites, day spas, and medical aesthetic practices.
Training close to home at Ogle School Hurst puts graduates right in the middle of that market from day one.
