Tips for Glowing, Radiant Skin

The greatest secrets to flawless makeup application lie within your skincare routine. On a daily basis, no matter where I go, I receive numerous compliments on my skin. From the natural glow to the smooth texture of my canvas, I truly believe that my routine and lifestyle are both ingredients to the secret sauce. There are dozens of skincare brands, many of which I personally use and recommend. Gentle, dermatologist-made skincare brands that incorporate natural blends are my favorite because they’re strong enough to keep your skin clear, gentle enough for even the most sensitive, and will nourish the skin naturally.

Peter Thomas Roth

For a glow like no other, Peter Thomas Roth’s 24K Gold Firm & Lift collection is a must-try. It is actually said to be inspired by his jewelry collection. The formulas for each of the products in the line actually have little specks of real 24 karat and colloidal gold that will leave your skin glowing naturally, especially underneath makeup. There are major anti-aging benefits in this formula! Plus, you will feel luxurious simply using the collection. It’s a fabulous way to pamper the skin with clinical benefits in the comfort of your own home. If you have other skincare concerns, Peter Thomas Roth has a total of 13 other collections with products for for skincare, hair, and body.

Mario Badescu

Is your skin prone to acne and hormonal breakouts? Mario Badescu’s skincare formulas cater to every skin type and concern. The brand not only addresses the main skin types, but different, acne-prone combinations as well. The products are very gentle but incredibly effective to keep the skin clean and clear of breakouts. Each product contains clinical strength ingredients balanced and blended with fresh botanicals and natural ingredients. Mario Badescu is perfect for those who prefer more natural skincare products.

For those searching for an affordable, eco-ethical skincare brand, DERMA E is for you! This brand didn’t start in a specialty cosmetics retail store but in a local Southern California health food store, so you know it’s approved by the health-conscious beauty lover. There are 16 product collections each with a unique focus on a body or skin concern. All of DERMA E’s products are 100% vegan, GMO-free, and cruelty-free. Natural ingredients and vitamins are also in each of the dermatologist recommended formulas.

Like a few of the other skincare brands we’ve recommended, Kiehl’s also uses natural ingredients and fresh botanicals. The brand’s boutiques even give major apothecary vibes! Their products seem to be much stronger yet still gentle on the skin. With consistent use, results occur within the first few days of use. While all of Kiehl’s products are dermatologist recommended, they also have a Dermatologist Solutions collection for acne-prone skin. Each of the formulas are unique and use ingredients that you may have never seen or heard of before, but they are highly effective! A few best-sellers (and a couple of my personal favorites) are the Midnight Recovery Cleansing Oil and Midnight Recovery Concentrate with relaxing lavender essential oils for rejuvenated, glowing skin overnight.
