3 Must-Try Summer Makeup Trends for 2017

Summer is all about being bright, bold, and colorful! We can finally move away from the soft, feminine pastels of spring and move towards warmer tones. Much unlike spring, playing with super saturated color during summer is strongly encouraged, especially in makeup. Whether it’s simply trying a new lip color or unexpected color placement such as tinted brows, get creative and have fun with your look!

Check out these three summer makeup trends for you to try for summer:

Bright Eyes | Super Saturated Color

A splash of color on the eyes with bright eyeliner or shadow is trending right now! However, your look doesn’t need to be super precise. In fact, it can be a simple sweep of eyeshadow across the lid. Summery yellows, bright greens, aquamarine shades are all fair game this season. This is the perfect opportunity to try one of those daring eyeshadows you’ve been dying to try!

Multi-Stain | Pink Flush for Lips & Cheeks

Cut back on the number of products in your poolside tote and get into multi-staining! Use your favorite lipstick to create a soft flush of color along your cheekbones. This is an excellent look for those who live in very hot climates where a full face of makeup may not be ideal. The stain gives lips and cheeks a lightweight, natural-looking color that will last for hours.

Remember: Be sure to keep lip products away from the eye area.

Heat It Up | Warm, Amber-Hued Neutrals

Most tend to stay away from true warm colors during summer because they appear “hot” and brights are more popular, but amber-hued neutrals are just what your look needs to really turn up the heat! Oranges, deep reds, burnt sierras, and browns are must-haves for your summer beauty arsenal. This season, the brand new Urban Decay Naked Heat palette is my go-to, especially for deeper and darker skin tones.

Definitely switch up your look and try one of these three summer makeup trends! The temps are blazing and the sun is shining, so remember to experiment with color and temperature. Need a step-by-step for my looks?
